Helios Towers Africa Completes Debut $600 Million Bond Issue

London – Paul Hastings LLP has represented Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Standard Bank, and Standard Chartered Bank as initial purchasers of $600 million of senior notes, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Standard Bank as coordinators and bookrunners and, with Standard Chartered Bank, as mandated lead arrangers on a $60 million revolving credit facility for Helios Towers Africa. Helios Towers Africa is an independent telecoms tower operator in Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Ghana, and Tanzania, and this is their first high yield bond transaction and the first for an issuer with assets in certain of these jurisdictions.
