Clifford Chance advises GETEC on the acquisition of URBANA

Clifford Chance has advised the German energy service provider GETEC WÄRME & EFFIZIENZ AG on its acquisition of URBANA Energiedienste GmbH.

The transaction is still subject to conditions, including clearance from the relevant antitrust authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose any details of the purchase price.

URBANA is part of KALO Group and is an energy service provider for the real estate sector. Headquartered in Hamburg, it controls energy supplies to 100,000 homes and 600 municipal and commercial properties on the basis of a contracting model. The company's annual turnover is approximately EUR 65 million.

GETEC WÄRME & EFFIZIENZ AG develops energy service projects for the real estate sector, hospitals and other social care institutions, hotels and public properties. GETEC WÄRME & EFFIZIENZ AG belongs to GETEC GROUP, which offers a whole range of energy services in the liberalised energy market. Clifford Chance recently advised the EQT infrastructure fund on its majority investment in GETEC GROUP.
