DWF has advised Velocity Composites, the leading supplier of advance composite material kits to the aerospace industry, on a £30.5million AIM flotation.
The placing will give the 97-strong company, which is based in Burnley and Fareham, an enhanced public profile and the platform to expand into new territories and invest in new product development.
DWF's North West team was led by National Head of Corporate Frank Shephard with support from corporate director Lisa Stavropoulos, solicitor Katy Phillips, trainee solicitor Ciara Healy and tax advice from senior associate James Cashman.
Frank Shephard, DWF National Head of Corporate, said: "Supporting our clients in making significant progress in their business and being able to facilitate their growth, development and investment is what we pride ourselves in at DWF. The IPO for Velocity Composites demonstrates our ability to fully understand our clients' industries and their business needs in order to complete deals that will ensure growth and support their business strategy for future opportunities."
Mark Mills, Velocity Composites Chairman, said: "Frank, Lisa and Katy in DWF's ECM team were instrumental in the success of the IPO. I have worked with them for years and they are experienced, pragmatic and accessible – they really are one of our team."
