We were delighted to act for Avery Dennison Corporation (NYSE:AVY) in respect of its acquisition of Finesse Medical Limited, an Irish incorporated company, which specialises in the development and manufacture of innovative health care products used mainly in the management of wound care and skin conditions.

We worked closely with the Avery Dennison teams based in Glendale, California and Europe in order to achieve completion within the transactional timeline. Our cross departmental team was led by Gavin O’Flaherty, Partner, Corporate & Commercial along with Enda Cullivan, Senior Associate, Corporate & Commercial, Niamh Caffrey, Consultant, Tax, Sean Ryan, Partner, Competition and Marie McGinley, Partner & Head of IP, Technology and DP.

Avery Dennison is the global leader in pressure sensitive and functional materials and the transaction represented a strategic acquisition for its Vancive medical technology business.  Avery Dennison is headquartered in California and had reported sales of US$6.1 billion dollars in 2016.

The transaction again represents the international nature of our client base and our ability to support large US companies on their investment and growth into the Irish market.
