William Fry advised Chaucer in relation to the establishment and authorisation by the Central Bank of Ireland of Chaucer Insurance Company DAC (Chaucer Dublin) as a non-life insurance company.
William Fry has been working closely with Chaucer on this project and assisted, in particular, in its engagement with the Central Bank of Ireland.
John Larkin, Chairman and Head of William Fry's Insurance and Reinsurance Department commented: "The announcement by Chaucer of the opening of its insurance operations in Ireland demonstrates the strength and suitability of Ireland as a jurisdiction for international insurance companies. The Central Bank of Ireland has proved itself as a competent and pragmatic regulator for these types of companies".
