KWM advises Supercheap Auto on joint venture with Bosch

22 Aug 2017

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised Supercheap Auto in relation to a joint venture with Bosch to establish independent full service auto workshops.

The KWM team was led by Brisbane-based partner Rhys Casey, supported by solicitor Stephanie Courtice.

The new AutoCrew – Powered by Supercheap Auto brand will benefit from the combination of Supercheap Auto’s existing retail footprint and customer knowledge together with Bosch’s leading diagnostic and workshop technologies.  The venture is a natural evolution of the existing relationship between Bosch and Supercheap Auto.

Commenting on the deal, Rhys Casey said “We are delighted to have supported longstanding client Super Retail Group in relation to this unique venture with Bosch. The deal recognises the market opportunity created by the increasingly complex and digital nature of automotive systems, for a technology-driven, full service auto workshop offering.”
