DLA Piper represented Riverwood Capital, a private equity firm focused on high growth technology and technology-related companies in need of capital and expertise to scale on a global basis, in connection with its lead role in a US$80 million growth equity investment into Druva, a Silicon Valley-based international leader in cloud data protection and information management.
Druva has built a platform that provides data protection and management for more than 4,000 enterprise’s endpoints, infrastructure and cloud applications as of today. The proceeds from the equity investment will be used to deliver additional product innovation and to further global expansion to better serve Druva’s customers and the growing market. Druva has raised close to US$200 million to-date from leading investors and previous backers, including Riverwood Capital, Tenaya Capital, Sequoia Capital India, Nexus Venture Partners, and Blue Cloud Ventures.
Harish Belur, Vizay Kotikalapudi and co-founding and co-managing partner Jeff Parks led the team from Riverwood Capital.
