New restaurants and food service for Wilhelma – Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek supports the state of Baden-Württemberg

30 Aug 2017

Effective March 1, 2018, the state of Baden-Württemberg is looking for a new leaseholder for the restaurants and food service at Wilhelma in Stuttgart, one of the most visited zoological-botanical gardens.

The leaseholder is to increase the quality of Wilhelma's food and beverage service based on regional, seasonal, sustainable, and biological offerings. The leaseholder will also be required to renovate the historically listed restaurant buildings during ongoing operation.

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek accompanies the complex project with Dr. Ute Jasper (Lead) and Dr. Christopher Marx (Public Procurement and Contract Law). Assisted by the team led by Jasper, the state of Baden-Württemberg has already successfully concluded several billion-euro awards in the regional rail passenger transport sector and achieved significant savings in the process.

Dr. Ute Jasper is one of the most renowned lawyers for procurement and infrastructure projects in the public sector. She advises federal and state ministries, municipalities, and businesses, particularly on innovative and complex projects. Ute Jasper heads Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek's "Public Sector & Public Procurement" department. For years, she has been ranked number 1 in JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms, most recently in its 2016/2017 issue, and according to "Law Firms in Germany," is the "premier contact on the market" for infrastructure. In October 2016, she received the JUVE Award for Regulated Industries with her team.

Dr. Christopher Marx is a lawyer in the "Public Sector & Public Procurement" Practice Group, Düsseldorf.
