The World’s first offshore fish farm unit has arrived in Froya and successfully delivered to Ocean Farming / SalMar after a two and a half month journey one the sea all the way from China. Through this pilot project SalMar and the Chinese Builder (CIMOE) worked together closely and have made this future concept into reality.

We have been representing the Chinese builder (CIMOE) since its project bidding/negotiation in 2015. CIMOE belongs to one of the largest state-owned shipyards in China, Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group, who has total assets over 40 billion RMB and annual turnover of RMB 16 billion in 2016.

Wikborg Rein have been representing the Builder since their bid for the project throughout the construction, transportation and delivery in Norway. With a syngeneic strength of Norwegian industrial knowledge, English law competence and Chinese culture insights, the WR team have received very high appreciation from both Builder and the Owner for the first class services throughout the project.
