The Schaeffler Group has acquired Chemnitz-based software firm autinity systems GmbH, which specialises in the digital collection and analysis of machine data in real-time. This acquisition allows Schaeffler to strengthen its data capture and status monitoring capability as key elements of computer-aided production. The move highlights Schaeffler’s ongoing pursuit of its digital agenda.
A team headed by lead partner Dr Hendrik Hirsch advised Schaeffler on all legal aspects of this transaction in the field of Smart Factory/Industry 4.0. The purchase price was not disclosed.
