The international law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP has advised eifeler GmbH & Co. KG, based in Dusseldorf, on the acquisition of a minority of in Medicoat AG, a privately owned Swiss family owned company providing thermal spray coating equipment and coating services for medical devices.

eifeler Holding has been active since more than 30 years in the fast-growing market of high-tech coatings and ranks worldwide among the leaders within the coating market. With this move, eifeler increases its expertise in medical coating technologies and enhances it with the development and manufacturing of complete coating systems and consumables for thermal spraying.

The acquisition is still subject to approval by the relevant cartel authorities.
