Ashurst has advised Clime Capital Limited (Clime Capital) on its A$21.4 million capital raising in order to further invest in securities on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX), recognised international exchanges and selected unlisted investments.
The capital raising includes a non-renounceable entitlement offer and placement and involves the rarely used, listed redeemable convertible note instrument, which will increase Clime Capital's level of investments principally in listed securities. Sanlam Private Wealth (Sanlam) acted as the underwriter.
Lead partner, Murray Wheater commented: "It was an absolute pleasure to work with the Clime Capital and Sanlam teams to launch this important capital raising involving listed convertible notes."
Murray was assisted by partner Lisa Simmons, senior associate Rahil Patel and lawyers Rory McLeod and Pooja Anantha (Corporate); with partner Ian Kellock and senior associate Sanjay Wavde (Tax).
The offer closes 7 December 2017.
