Dentons has advised Barings Core Fund Mannheim on the acquisition of a fully rented mixed-use building in Mannheim from an open-ended real estate fund. The transaction value was EU45 million. The acquisition was arranged by retailing specialists of the COMFORT-Group and is part of the company's core investment strategy in Europe.
Located in the center of Mannheim, Germany, the building offers more than 14,500 sq.m. of rental space distributed on seven floors. Approximately 9,000 sq.m. are used as retail and warehouse space, while the remaining 5,500 sq.m. are used as office premises. Saturn is the anchor tenant and rents three floors. The building is connected with Mannheim's main shopping street by a gallery.
