Creapaper GmbH, headquartered in Hennef, Germany and developer of sustainable raw material solutions for the paper industry by using grass instead of wood pulp in the paper production process, has closed its first substantial financing round and received growth financing from eCAPITAL. Creapaper was advised by Bryan Cave’s M&A and venture capital team in Hamburg, led by Tonio Sadoni.
The growth financing enables creapaper to meet the demand of using grass paper as an economically and ecologically favorable raw material. For the patented manufacturing process, no addition of chemicals is needed. Up to 50 percent of currently used wood pulp in the paper industry may be substituted by grass. This year creapaper was chosen as national winner of the “KfW Entrepreneurs' Award 2017”.
eCAPITAL entrepreneurial Partners AG, based in Münster, Germany, is an alternative investment fund manager (AIFM).
