Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Nordic Capital, a leading private equity investor in the Nordic region, on its acquisition and acquisition financing of Ryds Bilglas, one of the leading vehicle glass repair and replacement companies in Sweden.
Ryds Bilglas has annual revenues of SEK 700 million, more than 100 workshops, and over 350 employees. The firm was founded in Sweden in 1947 by the Ryd family, and is also active in the Norweigan market. Nordic Capital has signed an agreement to acquire 90 percent of the shares in Ryds Bilglas and will support the company’s continued growth strategy through further investments to strengthen its commercial excellence work, operational improvements and initiatives in digitalisation.

The M&A team in Stockholm which advised on the transaction was led by partner Lennart Pettersson with support from associate Essi Lavikkala. The financing team was led by partners Carl Hugo Parment and Oscar Liljeson, assisted by associate Tobias Johansson. Partner Axel Schultz in Brussels led the antitrust team assisted by associate Sophie Sahlin in Brussels.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial terms of the transaction. The investment is subject to approval by the relevant authorities.
