DLA Piper advises Beijing Enterprise Water Group on acquisition of TRILITY

DLA Piper advised BEWG International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Beijing Enterprises Water Group, on its 100% acquisition of water utility service provider TRILITY by way of a competitive bid process.

Beijing Enterprise Water Group is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and manages over 500 treatment facilities across China, Malaysia, Singapore, Portugal, Macau and Taiwan.

TRILITY is a leading private, independent and professional water utility service provider which operates across Australia & New Zealand’s municipal and industrial sectors.

The multi-jurisdictional DLA Piper team advised on complex negotiations with multiple industrial and municipal level government customers led by Corporate partner James Philips, Finance & Projects partner Alex Regan and Corporate special counsel Kurt Tiam. Support from other specialist teams included John Gallagher (Finance & Projects), Rhys Davies (Environment, Heritage and Native Title), Astrid Beemster (Property), Nicholas Turner (Employment), Melinda Upton (Intellectual Property) and Nicholas Boyle (Information Technology).
