Investment AB Latour has, through its subsidiary Hultafors Group AB, signed an agreement to acquire Johnson Level & Tool Mfg. Co., Inc., (“Johnson”) based in Wisconsin in the United States.

Johnson is a well-recognized provider of layout and measuring tools, being a market leader in several channels of distribution.

The acquisition is part of Hultafors Group's strategy to strengthen its presence in North America.

Hultafors Group consists of the brands Dunderdon Workwear, Hultafors, Snickers Workwear, Solid Gear Footwear, Toe Guard and Wibe Ladders. Together they form a unique product family for professional craftsmen.

Baker McKenzie was legal adviser to Hultafors group in connection with the acquisition. Baker McKenzie's team consisted mainly of Carl Svernlöv at Baker McKenzie's Stockholm office and David Malliband and Tom Hoffman from the firm's Chicago office.
