Squire Patton Boggs Advises Cedar Fair in Opening of Dual-Branded Hotel for Canada’s Wonderland

05 Sep 2018

Squire Patton Boggs North American Hospitality & Leisure lead Jeff Schagren represented Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, a leader in regional amusement parks, water parks and immersive entertainment, in a successful effort to sign hotel service agreements to bring lodging to Canada’s Wonderland amusement park. The 203-room, dual-branded Hyatt Place and Hyatt House will offer both spacious guestrooms and apartment-style suites in a high-tech contemporary environment. Construction is expected to begin in the first half of 2019, with an opening date planned for late 2020.

“We are proud to have been able to work with Cedar Fair to further their business in Canada, and look forward to continuing our partnership and success with them,” said Mr. Schagren.

Headquartered in Sandusky, Ohio, Cedar Fair Entertainment Company is one of the largest regional amusement-resort operators in the world.
