Baker McKenzie has advised AmRest Holdings SE on the framework of the acquisition of 15 restaurants operated under the KFC brand from KFC France SAS. The acquisition was accompanied by the conclusion of a franchise agreement for each of the 15 restaurants. The transaction is valued at approximately 33.3 million euros.
This acquisition should allow AmRest to further strengthen its presence in the French market, after the initial acquisition of 40 KFC restaurants in 2017/2018 and the acquisition of the Pizza Hut delivery restaurants, which was finalised in May 2017, and will also enable KFC France to develop its franchise network. AmRest is effectively planning to open around 150 KFC restaurants on the French market by the end of 2023.
