DLA Piper has advised real estate private equity firm Gaw Capital Partners on its acquisition of Ocean Towers, a 25-storey Grade A office building located at People’s Square in Shanghai. The acquisition was done through a fund managed by Gaw Capital together with a consortium of partners.
Gaw Capital has over 13 years of experience investing in and turning around commercial properties in Greater China, including Hong Kong. They specialize in adding strategic value to under-utilized real estate through redesign and repositioning. By leveraging the prime location of Ocean Towers, Gaw Capital believes there is potential to further enhance its occupancy rate and income.
