Linklaters is advising Deloitte LLP in its role as Joint Administrators on the administration of HMV Group plc, which has been announced today (15 January 2013).

Linklaters has been advising the lenders to the HMV Group since early 2011, but a separate team, led by restructuring & insolvency partners Richard Hodgson and Richard Bussell, has been engaged to assist the joint administrators, whilst the original team, led by banking partner Chris Howard, continues to advise the lenders.

Linklaters has acted on a number of high profile administrations of high street retailers, most recently on the administrations of GAME Group, La Senza, Homeform Group, Habitat and Woolworths.
