Ashley Hill Joins London Tax, Trusts And Estates Team

Leading national law firm Irwin Mitchell has recruited a new partner to its London tax, trusts and estates team.

Tax accountant Ashley Hill joins from BDO LLP, where he spent twelve years as a tax principal. Prior to this he spent time at top accountancy firms Ernst & Young and KPMG among others. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

He specialises in the taxation of high net worth individuals with complex and varied affairs often across multiple jurisdictions. He is well-versed in advising on international and offshore tax issues for high-net-worth individuals, their structures and businesses both in and outside of the UK, with tax compliance and reporting being an important aspect of this advice.

Ashley has a broad background in UK personal tax and specialises in advising non-domiciled individuals based in the UK on complex investment structuring, remittance planning strategies, and tax efficient trust and corporate structures to assist in creating and maintaining family wealth.

His appointment follows the arrival of partner Helen Clarke in February this year, who specialises in advising on Family Investment Companies (FICs) among others, and partner and head of immigration Philip Barth in October 2018.

The London team specialises in international tax, with Ashley’s tax accountancy expertise bringing a new dimension to the practice.
