Dentons is pleased to announce that Leonard Birmingham has joined the Firm as its Regional Head of Corporate and Commercial Law and a Partner. Based in our Trinidad & Tobago office and spending time in the British Virgin Islands and other offices, he will lead the regional corporate & commercial teams advising on transactional and financial law across the Firm’s Caribbean footprint. Corporate partners in their respective jurisdictions will continue to lead their local practice.
Birmingham currently serves as a non-executive Director of Virgin Group Holdings Limited, the holding company of the Virgin Group, and joins Dentons leveraging almost twenty-five years of corporate and commercial, banking, insolvency, and securities law experience. His work has also been recognized by Chambers and Partners, Legal 500, IFLR1000, and PLC Which Lawyer. Leading the Firm’s Chambers ranked Caribbean-wide Corporate/Commercial practice he will reference his collective knowledge acquired whilst serving as the Head of the London office and Global Head of Corporate and Commercial of Harneys. Birmingham has been signaled to take on a larger remit with a wider internal leadership role in addition to guiding indigenous businesses and multinationals on efficiently meeting their strategic corporate and commercial objectives.
