International law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced that Laurie Kuijpers will join its Dutch employment, incentives & pensions team as a partner on 1 October. Laurie specialises in pension law, primarily representing pension funds, insurers, (large) companies and intermediaries in high-profile pension cases.
Her work includes the liquidation and consolidation of pension funds, partial buy-outs, harmonisation and amendment of pension schemes, co-determination, duty of care, the technical aspects of administration agreements and pensions in mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Laurie advises on remuneration structures for, amongst others, financial institutions and regularly represents her clients in legal proceedings. She also publishes on labour and pension law and trends in professional journals.

Laurie holds a master's degree in Business Law and Employment Law from the University of Rotterdam. She also completed the postgraduate course in Pension Law at VU University Amsterdam. Before joining Simmons & Simmons, Laurie worked for Loyens & Loeff in the employment & benefits team in Amsterdam.
