Global law firm Dentons has strengthened its Corporate and M&A practice in the Netherlands with the recruitment of Ico Jalink as a partner. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise in corporate law and will be a valuable asset to the Dentons team.
With more than 15 years of experience, Ico Jalink has built a strong reputation in M&A, joint ventures, and private equity transactions. He has developed a diverse client base -- advising corporations, financial institutions, and private equity funds on both sell-side and buy-side processes.
Kuif Klein Wassink, Co-head of the Europe Corporate and M&A group, says: "Ico is a valuable addition to our team. His extensive M&A experience and knowledge of the TMT, infrastructure, and leisure sector, is a perfect fit for our team in Amsterdam. We expect Ico’s arrival to be an important link in our ongoing ambitions to optimize the service to both local and international clients."
Marien Glerum, Benelux Managing Officer, added: "We are thrilled to welcome Ico to the Dentons family. His experience and deep understanding of corporate law will be an invaluable asset to our clients, and we are confident he will significantly contribute to our firm's continued success."
Having previously spent 15 years working for a magic circle firm in Amsterdam including more than three years at an associate firm in Jakarta, clients particularly value Ico Jalink for his extensive cross-border experience and hands-on approach to matters.
"It’s an honour to join Dentons, as the firm continues to grow its corporate M&A practice. I am looking forward to working together with the talented global team of lawyers at Dentons in supporting clients on executing their M&A strategies.", said Ico Jalink.
Since entering the Dutch market five years ago, Dentons has more than doubled the size of its Amsterdam office in terms of both revenue and headcount. The Amsterdam office currently has 110 lawyers and civil-law notaries, including approximately 20 in the Corporate and M&A practice.
Dentons’ global Corporate and M&A practice includes more than 2,600 lawyers and Corporate and M&A advisers worldwide, including more than 330 in Europe.
