Leading international law firm Proskauer is pleased to welcome Craig Whitney as a partner in its Intellectual Property (IP) Practice. A highly skilled litigator, Craig focuses on all facets of IP litigation and will deepen the Firm’s expertise in copyright, trademark, false advertising, AI and trade secret disputes and counseling. He’ll be based in New York.
Craig will be the fifth first-chair trial lawyer to join Proskauer since July 2023. The Firm previously welcomed partners Joseph Drayton (Intellectual Property), Grant Esposito (Commercial Litigation), David Fioccola (Commercial Litigation) and Erik Milch (Patent Litigation).

With over two decades of experience trying IP, false advertising and complex commercial litigation, Craig represents prominent clients across a broad spectrum of industries including technology, media and entertainment, industrials, pharmaceuticals, consumer products and finance. He is a leading false advertising litigator and specializes in all aspects of IP disputes, including copyright, trademark and trade secrets. Craig is also an arbitrator and has deep expertise in class action defense, strategic IP portfolio management, investigations and enforcement.
