International law firm Simmons & Simmons has doubled the size of its dispute resolution (DR) team in Singapore by securing two new partners.

Disputes partner Terence Seah will join the firm as a lateral hire, while Steven Kaye, a disputes partner currently with the firm in London, will also bolster the firm’s Singapore team.

With expertise in commercial and financial dispute resolution, Terence Seah is an experienced litigator, having practised law in Singapore for over 20 years and having been English law qualified for over 15 years. Joining from another international law firm, he has advised and acted for international corporations and financial institutions in major international and local disputes and investigations.

Steven Kaye is a partner in the firm’s insurance and construction group, specialising in construction and insurance disputes, with experience in all forms of dispute resolution – including arbitration.

The new partners will increase Simmons’ DR team in Singapore from two partners to four, significantly enhancing its capabilities. Terence, joining in February, and Steven, joining in July, will join existing partners Mohammed Reza and Benson Lim.

Simmons offers both international and Singapore law advice through its Joint Law Venture with the JWS Asia Law Corporation. Together, its expertise spans cross-border and domestic financial and commercial disputes; internal and regulatory investigations; compliance; litigation strategy; arbitration; commodities and trade-related disputes, and construction and projects disputes.
