PARTNER MOVES - Prominent finance partner Monica K. Thurmond joins Fried Frank in New York

Fried Frank announced that Monica K. Thurmond has joined the firm as a partner in the finance practice in New York. She joins from Paul, Weiss, where she was a member of the capital markets and finance groups and former deputy chair of the corporate department.

Thurmond is an experienced corporate lawyer advising private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on a range of complex leveraged finance transactions. She also has experience representing issuers in public and private equity and debt securities offerings, including IPOs and high-yield debt offerings, as well as issuers and investors in private placements of convertible preferred stock and debt instruments.
