International law firm Simmons & Simmons has strengthened its private equity capabilities by securing an experienced partner in its UK Corporate practice.

Private equity specialist Tim Hewens has joined the firm’s London office – bringing a strong reputation in the market and adding further depth to the firm’s award-winning Corporate M&A team.

Tim joins Simmons from another international law firm, bringing significant experience as head of its private equity practice. Over the course of a 25-year career, he has developed considerable expertise in private equity transactions – acting for private equity funds, management teams and those selling to private equity.

The partner hire represents the latest expansion of Simmons’ UK Corporate practice and Private Equity capabilities, with Tim following the hire of private equity real estate partner Oliver s'Jacob in February.
