18 Jul 2024

Dentons Delany strengthens its Banking and Finance practice in Trinidad and Tobago with lateral partner hire Mandisa Ayanna Regrello. Regrello assumes the role of Partner and Head of Banking and Finance locally and will also enhance the Firm’s Legal-500 Tier 1 ranked Cross-Caribbean Expertise practice.

“Mandisa’s proven track record as a leading and well-respected Banking and Finance lawyer as well as her progressive perspective on the ever-changing landscape of our legal profession is a welcome addition to our Partnership. We look forward to her invaluable contribution as we continue to grow from strength to strength,” commented Shalini Rose Campbell, Dentons Delany Deputy Chief Managing Partner.

Regrello is a well-respected Banking and Finance lawyer who has over 20 years of experience. She is recognized by Chambers Global having served as external counsel to lenders and investors from local, regional, and international financial institutions. Her lending experience spans various industry sectors with specializations in aviation, banking, energy, insurance, manufacturing, and real estate.

“The values of Dentons Delany, epitomised in its leadership, resonate with me. The recent global pandemic brought into unique focus the benefit of being dynamic and adaptive to satisfy the needs of clients. Likewise, the Pan-Caribbean approach is a reminder that our global influence and relevance can be amplified when we work together in the region. For me, this is tangible and sustaining empowerment, and I am excited to be part of it,” expressed Regrello.

In a statement, Dustin Delany, Dentons Delany Chair and Chief Managing Partner said: “The inclusion of Mandisa to our talented team of attorneys and other professionals speaks volumes with respect to the momentum shift in recent years as to Dentons Delany’s ability to attract top-tier talent across the Caribbean. Moreover, her addition to our already formidable banking and finance team is unmatched and provides our clients with the enhanced convenience of having access to exceptional talent, especially those in Trinidad & Tobago, for their banking and finance needs throughout our 12 offices covering 14 jurisdictions in the Caribbean as well as our 160+ offices globally.”

Regrello’s appointment follows the lateral partner hires of Anice C.N. Granville and Rosalind L.C. Bynoe in Barbados and Tricia-Gaye O’Connor in Jamaica.
