International law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has made a significant senior hire into its corporate practice with the arrival of partner Jay Ze, who joins the firm.
Jay has extensive experience and expertise advising Chinese state-owned enterprises, sovereign wealth funds and private companies on their large and complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure projects, private equity transactions, investment funds, joint ventures and corporate finance matters. He also handles complex cross-border disputes for corporate and institutional clients, helping resolve their most critical issues and challenges arising from geopolitical or commercial events. Jay also advises international corporations, financial institutions and investment funds on their direct investments and private placements in China and globally.
Jay's client portfolio includes some of the most significant players in the Chinese market, and he is also actively engaged in supporting China's 'One Belt, One Road' initiative, leading large-scale infrastructure projects which span multiple jurisdictions. He has notable experience advising in relation to large, complex cross-border transactions.
