Dentons announced that John Beck has joined the firm as a partner in its Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy practice, bolstering the group’s capabilities in New York and Texas.
Beck has handled numerous financial restructurings and special situations representing companies, secured creditors, official and ad hoc committees, and acquirors of distressed assets in a variety of industries, including life sciences, aerospace, oil and gas, and real estate. He has represented clients in, among things, traditional and pre-packaged or pre- negotiated bankruptcy filings, financings, asset acquisitions, and foreclosure actions. Beck also has extensive court room experience representing both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy and state court proceedings, including Chapter 11 bankruptcy and state court enforcement actions.

Beck is just one of a number of lateral hires who have joined Dentons US’ New York office in recent months, including Commercial Litigation partners Peter Bekker and Richard Hong, Health Care partners Sharon Kantrowitz and Jowita Walkup and Corporate partner Jason Walton.
