The Dublin office of international law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced the expansion of its funds practice through the hire of partner Declan O’Sullivan.
Joining Simmons from the Dublin office of a US-headquartered international law firm, Declan brings three decades of experience advising leading domestic and global clients on the establishment and authorisation of multiple investment funds – including hedge funds, private equity funds, UCITS, and property funds and management companies. He is also a member of the AIMA Council.
Declan is also renowned for his expertise in private credit and insurance solutions, having advised on many such structures and transactions, as well as his commitment to pro bono work.
The new partner hire is expected to significantly boost the capabilities of the firm’s established Dublin funds practice, made up of an experienced team including partners Niamh Ryan and James McKnight.
