DLA Piper is pleased to welcome Matt Posthuma as a partner in the Investment Funds Practice. He will be based in the Chicago office.

Posthuma’s practice focuses on the formation of private investment funds, representing clients in both domestic and international transactions. He supports sponsors with open and closed-end funds in a wide range of investment strategies such as real estate (including core, value-add, and opportunistic), private equity, infrastructure, credit, hedge, and other alternative asset classes.

Posthuma collaborates with global asset managers with an emphasis on Latin American investments, particularly in Brazil and Mexico. He also works with clients on separate accounts, co-investments, joint ventures, club deals, and other investment transactions.
