International law firm, Osborne Clarke advised Foresight Group (Foresight), the Infrastructure, Environmental and Private Equity asset management group on the issue of a £60m solar bond. The bond is secured over the assets of four UK solar parks.
The Osborne Clarke team was led by Omar Al-Nuaimi, Partner and Head of Projects, Real Estate & Finance, who comments:
“As one of the leading firms in the solar sector, we’ve been advising Foresight for a number of years on the acquisition of solar parks. This bond issue is the latest of several deals we have closed for them.
“We are seeing increasing interest in debt capital markets transactions and other alternatives to traditional bank lending as clients seek to diversify their funding base, and we were very pleased to support Foresight on this key strategic project."
The full Osborne Clarke team included Senior Associates Mark Wesker and Tom Bussy, and Solicitor James Davies on the debt capital markets and banking advice, Senior Associate Stuart Cleak and Solicitor Dave Kerr on property, Solicitor Alex Cooke on projects, and Associate Clare King on energy.
