PARTNER MOVES - Weil welcomes tax partner Menachem Danishefsky

International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced that Menachem Danishefsky has joined the Firm as a partner in the Tax Department, based in the New York office.

Menachem’s practice spans an array of tax matters primarily associated with the private investment fund space, including mergers and acquisitions, fund formation, international tax and financial restructuring.

“Menachem is highly regarded for his work guiding private equity investors and fund managers in their most complex tax matters,” said Weil Executive Partner Barry Wolf. “We are delighted to welcome him to Weil.”

Menachem advises both sponsors and limited partners on the tax aspects of investment structures. His clients include private equity and hedge fund managers, as well as sovereign wealth funds and sovereign wealth-related platforms. He assists clients in navigating specific and general tax concerns that arise in a number of industries.

Menachem joins from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where he was a partner in that firm’s Tax practice.
