Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has advised PNE WIND AG on the acquisition of approximately 29.33% of shares in WKN AG (“WKN”) from Siemens Project Ventures GmbH (“Siemens”).

The acquisition of shares from Siemens sees PNE WIND AG increase its  stake in WKN to 82.75% and completes the acquisition of the majority shareholding in WKN, Husum, Germany.

WFW previously advised PNE WIND in April on the acquisition of 53.4%of the WKN shares from the previous majority shareholder Volker Friedrichsen Beteiligungs GmbH.

Based in Cuxhaven, Germany, PNE WIND plans and develops onshore and offshore wind farm projects with  99 wind farms with 571 wind turbines developed so far, with a total  capacity of 820 MW. The acquisition of WKN, a developer specialising in international wind farms, creates supply chain synergies and increases PNE’s overall footprint in Europe.
