Travers Smith acts on IPO of Bluefield Solar Income Fund Limited

16 Jul 2013

Travers Smith partner and head of the listed funds group Aaron Stocks and investment funds senior associate Will Normand have advised Numis Securities Limited in its capacity as sponsor and sole placing agent to Bluefield Solar Income Fund Limited in connection with its £130 million IPO. Admission took place on 12 July 2013.

Bluefield Solar Income Fund is a Guernsey incorporated, closed-ended listed fund.  Its investment focus is on large scale agricultural and industrial solar assets and it has appointed Bluefield Partners LLP as its investment adviser. The IPO is reflective of the UK solar sector playing an increasingly important role in the UK government's 2020 renewable energy targets.

Norton Rose Fulbright LLP and Carey Olsen provided English law and Guernsey law advice, respectively, to Bluefield Solar Income Fund Limited.
