Wragge & Co's Retail team concluded a high-profile agreement between high street retailer Argos, a long-standing client of Wragge & Co, and eBay. This trial will give consumers the option to buy goods from a selection of at least 50 small and large retailers on eBay and opt to have them delivered to one of 150 nominated Argos stores. It will provide a convenient and reliable click and collection' option for eBay customers.

Richard Smith, a director in Wragge & Co's Retail team, worked closely with senior solicitor Caroline McNally on the deal. He said: "This deal is a genuinely innovative collaboration between two giants of the retail world. It gives consumers more options and more convenience in deciding how to receive their goods. In helping to achieve the mutual interests of Argos and eBay, and to develop a hybrid of online and high street shopping, the Retail team has proven again that we have the expertise and the creativity needed to deliver for our clients."

Sales across the Home Retail Group's in 2012-3 amounted to £5,475 million. eBay was advised by its in-house legal team.
