Herbert Smith Freehills advises Tarkett on Eur 360 million syndicated loan

24 Oct 2013

Herbert Smith Freehills Paris LLP has announced it has advised Tarkett, a world leader in flooring and sports surfaces, on the establishment of a syndicated loan of EUR 360 million arranged by Bank of America Securities Limited, Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft, Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, Crédit Lyonnais, Deutsche Bank AG, HSBC France and J.P. Morgan Limited.

The Herbert Smith Freehills team advising Tarkett was made up of Louis de Longeaux (partner) and Gwenael Pain-Blavec (associate).

The lenders were advised by Hogan Lovells (Michel Quere and Thomas Roy).

This transaction took place at the same time as Tarkett announced that its "base document" had been filed with the French market authority, the AMF. This is the first step towards Tarkett's intial public offering on the NYSE-Euronext Paris regulated market, subject to market conditions and AMF approval of the IPO prospectus.
