Allen & Overy LLP has advised Husky Injection Molding Systems Canada, on the acquisition of Schöttli Group, a leading global manufacturer of medical parts and injection molds for caps, located in Diessenhofen, Switzerland, and affiliates in the U.S. and China. The transaction is expected to close in early December.
There is already a successful and long-standing relationship between the two companies. Schöttli is the leading manufacturer of products for medical applications, such as syringes, infusion and transfusion products, diagnostic systems, and feminine hygiene products. Husky is able to deepen its capabilities in these areas through the acquisition. As a result of the transaction, both the headquarters of Schöttli in Diessenhofen as well as other production facilities in San Dimas, California, and Suzhou, China, will form part of a global network of locations for Husky.
