Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is advising Wilsonart LLC (“Wilsonart”) in its agreement to acquire Durcon Incorporated (“Durcon”), the world's leading manufacturer of laboratory-grade work surfaces. Upon completion, Durcon will operate as a new, independent business unit of Wilsonart.

Wilsonart LLC is one of the world's leading manufacturers and distributors of high pressure laminates and other engineered surfaces used in furniture, office and retail space, countertops, worktops and other applications. The company operates globally under the Wilsonart, Resopal, Polyrey and Arborite brands and has achieved success through a combination of outstanding service, high-quality products and a focus on providing innovative products and services to customers.

Durcon Incorporated has been operating for 40 years in Taylor, located near Austin, TX. The company offers high performance, epoxy-resin work surfaces and sinks for laboratories and research facilities.
