Ashurst advises SATO in Magellan's acquisition

Ashurst has advised Japanese company SATO Holdings Corporation (SATO) on the acquisition of the Radio Frequency ID business from Magellan Technology Pty Ltd (Magellan).

SATO is a leading global provider of integrated Automatic Identification and Data Collection solutions that leverage barcode and Radio Frequency ID technologies and is a publicly listed company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Magellan produces a range of Radio Frequency ID products based on its unique Phase Jitter Modulation technology, which it sells into the blood, medical implants and diamonds markets.
