17 Dec 2013

DLA Piper represented Fibra UNO, Mexico’s first publicly traded REIT, in its debut in the Mexican debt capital markets. By issuing stock certificates for a total of $8.5 billion pesos, the deal marks the first time a Mexican REIT issued debt in the capital markets and is the largest debut for a corporate issuer.

Members of the DLA Piper team have advised on several other Fibra UNO transactions, including its historic IPO on the Mexico Stock Exchange that raised US$300 million in 2011, its US$700 million follow-on offering in April 2012, its US$850 million private placement for a real estate acquisition in September 2012, and its US$1.7 billion follow-on offering in January 2013.

The Mexico City-based team representing Fibra UNO in this latest transaction was led by Guillermo Uribe and included Adrián Gay, Jorge González, Mirna Ordaz and Santiago Soldevilla.
