Shearman & Sterling Advises Blue Solutions on its IPO

30 Dec 2013

Shearman & Sterling advised Blue Solutions S.A., a subsidiary of Bolloré S.A. specializing in electricity storage technology, on its initial public offering on the regulated market of NYSE Euronext Paris (Segment B). The offering consisted of an open price offering (offre à prix ouvert) in France and a global placement for institutional investors in France and abroad of 2,883,832 existing ordinary shares sold by Bolloré S.A. and Bolloré Participations S.A., representing approximately 10% of the share capital of Blue Solutions S.A.

The purpose of the transaction is to allow Blue Solutions, whose activities include producing the batteries that power French Autolib’ vehicles, to support its development strategy, strengthen its public exposure vis-à-vis potential clients and access new means of financing.

The clearing and settlement of the offering took place on November 1, 2013.

The Shearman & Sterling team advising Blue Solutions included partners Hervé Letréguilly and Sami Toutounji, senior associate Séverine de la Courtie and associates Inaya Abdellatif-Guillon and Alison Howell.
