DLA Piper represented Musco Sports Lighting LLC, a global provider of industrial lighting solutions, in a joint venture with Ferrostaal Industrial Products. The newly formed company will be called Musco Ferrostaal GmbH and will design, supply and install lighting systems for industrial plants and sporting facilities throughout Europe.
Musco Sports Lighting is best known for its Light Structure Green, which generates energy and operating cost savings of more than 50 percent for sporting and large area lighting. The company has equipped prominent global venues, such as the White House in Washington, DC, the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games, Yankee Stadium in New York, and Centre Court in Wimbledon.
Earlier this year, DLA Piper assisted Musco Sports Lighting in its commercial contract with the Sochi Olympic Committee to service several venues for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
