Patent and technology litigation expert Oscar Lamme has spent the last thirteen years building a strong reputation in the international patent litigation market
International law firm Simmons & Simmons has today announced that its intellectual property team will be joined by patent and technology litigation expert Oscar Lamme. Oscar will join the firm as a partner* in the firm’s Amsterdam office, alongside existing partners Paul Tjiam and Bas Berghuis van Woortman.
Oscar joins Simmons from De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, where he is a well-known patent specialist, having spent the last thirteen years building a strong reputation in the international patent litigation market. He represents a wide variety of multinational clients active in the telecoms, electronics, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Oscar’s expertise centres on the convergence of different aspects of intellectual property laws, such as patent law and competition law.
As part of planned strategic enhancement of the international intellectual property team, Oscar will also be accompanied by EPO patent attorney Sebastien Versaevel who arrives at Simmons as supervising associate.
This expansion delivers on Simmons’ ambition to strengthen its international patent capabilities. The arrival of Oscar and Sebastien follows the launch of a prosecution practice in the Netherlands earlier this year, and the recent hire of patent specialists in Munich, Paris and Milan.
