Leading finance lawyer Anna Vangrove has joined the national Shoosmiths banking and finance team as a partner in its fast-growing Belfast office.

Anna, rated as a “Next Generation Partner” by Legal 500 and “Up and Coming” by Chambers, will play a key role in delivering the firm’s growth plan in Northern Ireland alongside experienced M&A partner Mark Davis who joined in late 2020 to build a corporate team in Belfast. Anna will work closely with Michael Kelly, principal associate who has also recently joined our Belfast team.

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright announced that three real estate lawyers, led by partner David Barksdale, have joined its Los Angeles office. Senior counsel Kevin Garland and associate Joseph Bini accompany Barksdale in the move from Loeb & Loeb.

René will join Linklaters as a partner in the course of the year. Global Law firm Shearman & Sterling announces the appointment of Sanjeev Dhuna as a Leveraged Finance partner in the Finance group, based in London. This follows the appointment of Gary Hamp in London and Heather Water Borthwick in New York. Sanjeev will lead the team across Europe, alongside Ward McKimm.

Mayer Brown announced the appointment of Joe Conder as a partner in the firm's Real Estate practice in London. Joe will join the firm from Goodwin, where he is a partner in the real estate industry group.
