KWM advises APA on Orbost Gas Plant agreement

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised APA Group on all aspects of its acquisition of the Orbost Gas Plant, which will see APA own, upgrade and operate the gas plant.

The KWM team was led by partners Craig Rogers and Shannon Etwell, supported by Senior Associates Neena Aynsley, Amelia Knowles, Cameron Mew, and Gareth Howe, and Solicitors Adam Black, Austin Chen, and Nicole Wieringa. The KWM team worked closely with APA's Deputy General Counsel, Amanda Cheney and Legal Counsel, Liam Dunstan.

Shearman & Sterling advises Masdar on €300 Million Financing for Largest Wind Farm in Serbia

Shearman & Sterling advised Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) on the EU300 million financing for the largest wind farm in the Republic of Serbia. Due for completion in the first half of 2019, the 158 megawatt (MW) capacity Cibuk 1 wind farm will be the largest utility-scale commercial wind project in Serbia and the Western Balkans.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises RES Australia on financial close of Emerald Solar Park in Queensland with first Telstra Corporate PPA

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright was the lead advisor to RES Australia on the development, financing and sale of the 68MW Emerald Solar Park in Queensland.  This project benefits from the first  PPA entered into by Telstra.

NAB and Westpac have provided project financing  and Lighthouse Infrastructure has acquired 100% of the project through its Lighthouse Solar Fund.

Ashurst advised EnQuest on the execution of an $80 million crude oil prepayment transaction in respect of certain of its North Sea assets and a $37.25 million refinancing for its Tanjong Baram project in Malaysia, as part of EnQuest's programme of liquidity improvement measures.

Ashurst advised on the finance, upstream commercial, hedging and certain tax aspects of the transactions, working closely with EnQuest's General Counsel Stefan Ricketts and Senior Legal Advisor Dawood Ahmed.
