Matheson Advises NSH Nordbank on Financing of Clogheravaddy Wind Farm

Matheson recently advised international lender, HSH Nordbank AG (“HSH Nordbank”), on its financing of a proposed onshore wind farm near Clogheravaddy, County Donegal.  Clogheravaddy Wind Farm is being developed by ABO Wind, a leading renewable energy developer in the Irish and European markets.  Matheson worked closely on this transaction with Hogan Lovells (Hamburg) who advised HSH Nordbank as German law counsel on the transaction.

 

Bird & Bird advise Earthport as the target of a now competing takeover bid by Mastercard

International law firm Bird & Bird continue to advise Earthport, a UK-based FinTech company, as the target of a now competing takeover bid by Mastercard by way of a takeover offer for £233 million. Mastercard's offer follows the bid that the Company received from Visa in December 2018 and represents a 10 per cent increase on the price offered by Visa.

 

WFW advises BNP Paribas on US$439m SINOSURE-backed financing of 86 MSC scrubbers

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised BNP Paribas (“BNPP”) as co-ordinating bank and agent, together with a syndicate of four other banks as lenders, in connection with a US$439m SINOSURE-backed financing of 86 exhaust gas cleaning systems (“scrubbers”) for the MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SA (“MSC”) group.

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Alpha Bank A.E. on its sale to a consortium of funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management and International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group, of a mixed pool of non-performing loans to Greek SMEs and, together with Alpha Bank's wholly-owned group company Alpha Leasing S.A., repossessed real estate assets in Greece.

Herbert Smith Freehills' London finance team has advised Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) as the sole underwriter and mandated lead arranger on the financing of GlaxoSmithKline plc's acquisition of TESARO, Inc. for a total consideration of approximately $5.1 billion.

 

The team involved in negotiating the financing was led by partners Will Nevin and Gabrielle Wong, with the assistance of key associates Susie Nguyen and Benjamin Robinson.

Blue Prism will use the fundraising to invest in its products and platforms, and to expand its global footprint to capitalise on growing RPA market demand.
